Knuckleheads

Terms of service

The rules for playing Knuckleheads. Punch the other knuckleheads, not the people behind them.

Effective September 25, 2026. Last updated September 25, 2026.

Agreeing to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Loosetooth Games LLC ("we," "us," "our"), a Michigan limited liability company. They cover Knuckleheads and any online services that come with it, like multiplayer, voice chat, and saved progress (together, "the game").

By downloading or playing the game, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't play.

You got the game through the Meta Horizon Store, so Meta's own terms also apply. If these terms and Meta's terms conflict about the store, purchases, or refunds, Meta's terms win.

Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old and have a valid Meta account to play. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they agree to these terms for you.

Your license

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to play the game for your own entertainment. We (and our licensors) own the game and everything in it, including the code, art, characters, sounds, and the Knuckleheads name.

You may not copy, sell, rent, or redistribute the game, reverse engineer or decompile it (except where the law allows it), or use it to build a competing product.

Videos and streams

You're welcome to stream Knuckleheads and post videos and clips of it, including on monetized channels. Please don't present your content as official or imply we endorse it.

How to act online

Knuckleheads is about beating up cartoon ragdolls, not real people. When you play online, you agree not to:

  • Harass, bully, threaten, or target other players, in voice chat or in game.
  • Use hate speech or slurs, or attack anyone for their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or where they're from.
  • Say or do anything sexual, especially toward anyone who may be a minor.
  • Share someone's personal information, like their real name, address, or socials, without their permission.
  • Ask other players for personal information or try to move them to other apps or platforms.
  • Cheat, hack, mod, or use exploits, bots, or third party tools that give you an unfair advantage or mess with other players.
  • Crash servers, flood voice chat with noise or soundboards, or intentionally ruin matches.
  • Impersonate us, our team, or another player.
  • Use an offensive or misleading display name.
  • Break the law or Meta's Code of Conduct.

Voice chat

You're responsible for what you say. You can mute anyone at any time, and you can report players in game or by emailing us. Since we don't record voice chat, it helps a lot if your report includes what happened, when, and the player's display name. A clip is even better.

Moderation and bans

If we believe you've broken these terms, we may warn you, mute you, kick you from a match, temporarily suspend you, permanently ban you, or reset your progress. We decide what's appropriate based on how serious it is, and we can act without warning when we need to keep other players safe.

If you think we got it wrong, email hello@loosetooth.games with your display name and we'll take another look.

Your account and progress

Your progress is tied to your Meta account. Keep that account secure, since you're responsible for what happens on it.

While the game is in development or early access, we may need to reset progress, stats, or items to fix problems or rebalance the game. We'll try to give notice when we can.

In-game items and purchases

If the game offers in-game items, currency, or cosmetics, you get a license to use them in the game, not ownership. They have no real-world value, can't be traded or sold for real money, and can't be exchanged for cash.

Any purchases go through Meta, and refunds follow Meta's refund policy. We may change, rebalance, or remove items over time.

Changes to the game

The game will keep changing. We may add, change, or remove features, modes, maps, and items at any time. We may also have downtime for maintenance, and someday we may shut down the online services. If we plan to shut them down, we'll try to give reasonable notice first.

Play safely

Knuckleheads is a physical game. You will swing your arms fast. Clear your play space, set up your Guardian boundary, keep people, pets, and furniture out of reach, and use your controller wrist straps.

Follow Meta's health and safety warnings for Quest. Take breaks, and stop playing right away if you feel dizzy, sick, sore, or unwell. You play at your own risk, and we're not responsible for injury or damage caused by movement during play.

Feedback

We love hearing ideas on Discord, TikTok, and email. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we can use them freely to improve the game without owing you anything.

Disclaimers

The game is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we don't make any promises about the game being uninterrupted, bug free, or secure, and we disclaim all warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We're not responsible for what other players say or do, though we'll act on reports as described above.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Loosetooth Games LLC won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost progress, or lost profits, that come from using or not being able to use the game.

Our total liability for any claim about the game is limited to the greater of what you paid for the game in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 USD.

Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

Ending this agreement

You can stop playing and uninstall the game at any time, and you can ask us to delete your data as described in the privacy policy. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms. The sections on ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law still apply after this agreement ends.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan and applicable United States law, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the game changes. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll let players know in game or on our Discord. If you keep playing after an update, you're agreeing to the new terms.
